When it seems like everything is going wrong, who’s got your back?

In June of 2011 Hycomp shipped a nitrogen booster, to a fabricating shop near the Chicago O’Hare International Airport. This booster was designed to mate with an Industrial Solutions Nitrogen Generator and provide high pressure nitrogen for a number of their laser cutting machines.

“We experienced a few problems in the first couple months that were not normal according to Hycomp’s reputation, but Hycomp stayed with us every step of the way, with technical support over the phone and facilitating a nearby distributor to assist us. They even sent us out replacement parts overnight to get us back up and running as quickly as possible,” explained the facility maintenance supervisor, “The booster has been working perfectly ever since.”

To sum up the situation, the nitrogen booster had a few faults that caused it to shut down. Tiny, seemingly insignificant issues, that just seemed to happen at just the wrong times as if Murphy’s Law had declared an all out assault on this particular compressor. First the oil pressure transducer went out, and then a valve gasket went out twice. After a few visits from a distributor, Hycomp opted to send the end-user a complete cylinder/head assembly to get them back up and running strong. They then shipped the original assembly back to Hycomp so the exact problem could be ascertained without causing any more downtime.
