Hycomp compressors and boosters are designed and manufactured with precision to be an exact fit for the intended application. The Hycomp Application Worksheet contains all the informational fields necessary to provide a well tailored compressor that mirrors application requirements.
The Application Worksheet is just a two page document. However, the second page only exists to provide an area for detailed notes and sketches if needed. There are less than 30 fields to fill out concerning application details and less than 20 general fields, such as: Contact Name, Phone Number and email. Even though this form is very easy to fill out, the information collected is invaluable in providing the right solution.
Hycomp Area Sales Managers are available to assist Hycomp Distributors fill in the form. Working side-by-side with our distributors is very important to us. We also offer our highly skilled engineers as well honed instruments in the compressor sizing process. By talking directly with the end user engineer(s) and the distributor, Hycomp engineers are able to discuss the application and not only provide a solution tailored to the situation, but solve any potential problems before they occur.
We call this business approach: Engineer to Engineer or “E2E”. When the distributor and engineers from both sides of the sale communicate directly, the project moves forward faster while increasing product and purchase confidence.
There are some things on Application Worksheet that appear more important than others, such as: gas, point of use pressure or flow. The hazardous location classification (Class/Division/Group) is an important factor when dealing with potentially hazardous gases. All fields are always important, as all information is necessary to provide the best possible solution. This information is more than necessary, it must be complete, or a compressor quote cannot be given.
Often in the sales process, a full and exact quote is not yet needed. Sometimes our distributors are only looking for a budgetary or “ballpark figure” to take to their client to see if pursuing a Hycomp compressor is a viable option. To accommodate these inquires we have included the “Quote Type” field where a distributor can either chose to receive a Full or Budgetary Quote.
Complete information is required for either quote type. But please remember, if there are ever any questions or even the slightest hint of doubt, our sales managers are always available to conveniently take this information right over the phone and answer questions. This method of explaining application requirements over the phone also allows our distributors to talk directly with sales and engineering experts. This interaction helps to ensure the right compression system is quoted, sold and manufactured.
