AICD Presentaion – Understanding The Booster Market

It was a pleasure to meet with so many of Hycomp’s good friends and colleagues during the recent AICD
Meetings at the beautiful Sawgrass Marriott Resort in Florida.

This meeting was a great opportunity for Hycomp to learn more about how the AICD member companies are doing and share some of our experience about where we are finding success. Hycomp truly appreciates all of the AICD member companies and how they have welcomed our participation in this event.

Hycomp had the opportunity this year to present information about the Air Booster and Gas Compressor niche market. Ken Schiefer led an energetic discussion about how AICD members can find opportunities and applications for these products. Ken shared some tips and tricks to understanding gas compressors and how to break into this niche market utilizing the Hycomp strategy of heavy engineering involvement and working directly with the distributor and end user.

One of the big reasons Hycomp attends the AICD meetings is that we learn so much from our distributor partners by discussing business during the vendor exhibit sessions. Hycomp was able to meet and discuss business with virtually every AICD member company. We really appreciate all of the good questions; look for them in our Q&A section of this newsletter and on our website.

There was a lot of positive energy at the meeting and many companies reported that their business is bouncing back after a relatively flat 2009. Hycomp came away from the 2010 AICD
